Parent Testimony

I would like to share the experience I had this morning at the PPA all school Mass:

During his homily, Fr. Scott asked the kids what they pray to God for.  The majority of our children's hand went up (impressive in itself!).  Before reading further, please take a moment to imagine what your prayers would have been for when you were their age....

The actual four answers were:

3rd/4th grader:  "To help me know my vocation."
1st/2nd grader:  "God's blessings."
3rd/4th grader:  "To heal those who are sick."
5th/6th grader:  "To save a soul."

Now I can imagine one could find another school whose students might have similar answers given similar circumstances...but I highly doubt it.

A school is not only great because of solid curricula and teachers; it is also great because of parents who mirror true, good and beautiful teaching at home.  So thank you, each and every one of you (teachers, parents, board members, students, etc.) for helping make Padre Pio Academy one of the greatest blessings in my family's life.

Sincerely,

Douglas J. Kisgen

Archbishop Naumann's Visit to Our School

Archbishop Naumann visiting with Kindergarten ClassOn Monday, October 31, Padre Pio Academy was honored by a visit from Archbishop Joseph Naumann, to whom we have long been grateful for his kind recognition of our contribution to Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.

Archbishop Naumann said Mass for our community in St. Joseph’s Church and then spent time touring our school and meeting our students. It was a very special and unforgettable day for all of us at Padre Pio Academy.
